Our Services
We have organised our portfolio into nine service areas, each with specific services that can be commissioned independently or combined according to the needs of the project.
What sets us apart
What sets us apart is not just what we do, but how we do it:
- Operating since 2002 in the professional voice and audio market. Before AI existed, we were already working with the best voice talent in Portugal and worldwide.
- The broadest coverage of Portuguese in the European market: Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique, with native speakers of each variant.
- Human voice and AI: the client chooses the most suitable solution for each project, or combines both when it makes sense.
- Ethical approach to AI: all artificial voice services are developed with formal agreement from the voice talent involved and in compliance with European legislation.
- Clients in more than 20 countries, from Portugal to Japan, from multinational and regional companies to museums and cultural institutions.
- ISO 9001 certified: rigorous quality, traceability and consistency processes across all projects.
How the Process Works
The process always starts with a briefing. It can be a ten-minute conversation or a detailed document, depending on the complexity of the project. From there, our team presents a proposal with the most appropriate solution, the timeline and the cost.
For simple projects, a voice-over, a spot, a subtitling job, the process is fast and delivery can happen within 24 to 72 hours. For more complex projects such as multilingual localisation, audio guide production, corporate radio implementation or telephone messaging systems, the project management team supports every phase and keeps the client informed throughout.
There are no one-size-fits-all solutions. Every project is treated as unique.
We Work with All Industries
Our voice and audio services serve any sector of activity. Advertising and marketing, education and e-learning, tourism and culture, pharmaceuticals, media and entertainment, hospitality, software and technology, public administration. If the project involves voice, audio, video or multimedia content, we have the solution and the experience to deliver it.
Ready to Get Started?
Tell us what you need. Our team analyses the project and responds with a concrete proposal, with no commitment and no delay. If you are not yet sure exactly what you need, we can help with that too.
Frequently Asked Questions about Voices & Media Solutions Services
What is the difference between voice-over, dubbing and narration?
Voice over is the recording of a voice for audio or audiovisual content, not necessarily associated with an image. Dubbing is the replacement of the original voice in audiovisual content with a voice in another language, with lip synchronisation. Narration is the voice-over of an accompanying text, such as a documentary or an audio guide, where the voice guides the listener through content. In practice, all three services are provided by the same team, with the process adapted to each case.
Do you provide voice over for radio, TV or digital adverts?
Yes. Voice over for advertising is one of the most in-demand areas at Voices & Media Solutions. We work with advertising agencies, production companies and direct advertisers on the production of radio spots, TV adverts and digital content. We provide voice talent in more than 70 languages, with different voice profiles, and deliver in the formats required by each medium.
Do you produce voice over for institutional and promotional videos?
Yes. Institutional, promotional, product presentation or internal training videos are some of the most common projects we receive. We produce the voice-over in any language, with the voice talent best suited to the tone and audience of the video, and deliver the audio synchronised with the video if required.
Is localisation the same as translation?
No. Translation is the conversion of a text from one language to another. Localisation is a broader process that adapts content to the cultural, linguistic and communicative context of the target market. In practice, a well-localised campaign does not sound like a translation. It sounds as if it was created specifically for that market. Voices & Media Solutions offers both levels of service and helps the client identify which is most appropriate for each project.
How do you choose the right voice for a project?
The choice of voice depends on several factors: the target audience, the tone of the communication, the medium where the content will be published and the image the brand wants to convey. Our team supports this process from the outset, presents suggestions with voice samples and can organise a casting session when the project warrants it. We never choose the voice without involving the client.
Does Brazilian Portuguese work for Portugal (and vice versa)?
It depends on the context. For digital content such as e-learning or applications, the accent difference is noticeable and can feel strange to listeners. For advertising or institutional communication, the impact is even greater. The general rule is to use native speakers from the target market. Voices & Media Solutions has voice talent from Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique, which allows us to adapt each project to the right market.
Do you work only with Portuguese voice talent?
No. Voices & Media Solutions works with native speakers in more than 70 languages from around the world. We have a global network of voice professionals covering the main European, American, Asian and African markets. In Portuguese, we are probably the European company with the greatest diversity of native speakers, including the variants from Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
What types of content can be voiced or localised?
Practically any audio or audiovisual content. Radio and TV spots, digital adverts, institutional and promotional videos, e-learning and training content, audio guides for museums and tourism, mobile applications, telephone messaging systems, documentaries, series, games, audiobooks and podcasts. If you have text or audio, we can voice or localise it.
What is the delivery timeline for a voice over?
For straightforward voice-overs, delivery normally takes between 24 and 72 hours after voice talent approval and receipt of the text. For more complex projects, such as multilingual localisation, audio guide production or telephone messaging systems, the timeline is defined in the initial briefing and managed by the project management team. For urgent cases, contact us directly to check availability.
Is it possible to supervise the recording session remotely?
Yes. All recording sessions can be supervised in person at our studio in Lisbon or remotely from anywhere in the world. The client can participate actively, give instructions to the voice talent in real time and approve recordings as they are made.
Can I work with multiple languages in a single project?
Yes, and it is one of Voices & Media Solutions' strengths. We manage multilingual projects with centralised coordination, meaning the client has a single point of contact regardless of the number of languages involved. We have managed projects with more than 20 languages simultaneously, with coordinated delivery and uniform quality control across all of them.
Can synthetic AI voice replace human voice over?
In some contexts, yes. For high-volume content, such as e-learning with many modules, messaging systems or recurring digital content, synthetic voice is an efficient alternative. For advertising, brand communication or content where expressiveness and authenticity are priorities, human voice-over remains the better option. It is worth noting that synthetic voice is always recognisable as synthetic. Voices & Media Solutions offers both solutions and helps the client choose the most appropriate for each case.
Do your AI services respect voice talent rights?
Yes, and this is a central point of our approach. All voice cloning services are developed with the formal written agreement of the professional voice talent involved. The agreement defines the contexts of use, the licence period and the compensation for use. We never use a professional's voice without their knowledge and consent.
Do you provide dubbing for TV adverts and online video?
Yes. Dubbing for advertising is one of our areas of greatest expertise. We regularly work with advertising agencies, production companies and direct clients on the adaptation of adverts created in other markets into Portuguese or Spanish. The service includes script adaptation, voice casting, studio recording in Lisbon, lip synchronisation, post-production and delivery.
Do you produce audio guides for museums?
Yes. We have specific experience in the production of audio guides for museums, tourist routes and cultural spaces, in multiple languages. We work with museums in Portugal and abroad on multilingual audio guide projects, from voice-over and translation to the implementation of equipment and applications.
Do you produce telephone on-hold messages?
Yes, and this was the company's first service. In 2002, when everything began, the pioneering service was personalised telephone on-hold messages, followed by IVR voice guides and closing messages for companies across all sectors. The service is fully managed: it includes script review, voice or multi-language voice selection, licensed music, recording, post-production and delivery in telephone system formats.
Do you implement indoor radio systems?
Yes, we implement indoor radio, also known as in-store radio, and produce and update the content whenever needed. The system is connected to the store's amplifier and broadcasts spots and music inside the store.
