Composition and production of advertising jingles and original music for brands and campaigns
A well-made jingle stays in the listener's head. That is its purpose: to create a sonic association between a melody and a brand, so that the listener recognises it without needing to see the logo. Custom music goes further: it defines the sonic identity of the brand across every platform where it is present. At Voices & Media Solutions we produce jingles and original music with composers and sound engineers experienced in advertising and corporate content production.
Delivery in the formats suited to each platform: radio, television, digital, telephone messaging, events.
Jingle or custom music?
Jingle
A jingle is a short musical piece, normally between 15 and 60 seconds, created for a specific campaign. It has a simple, easy-to-remember melody, often with lyrics that include the brand name or a slogan. It is the right choice for radio and television spots, digital adverts and any campaign where the goal is to create quick recognition.
Custom music
Custom music is a composition created to represent the brand over the long term. It can be the opening music for a podcast, the soundtrack for institutional videos, ambient music for a point of sale or the theme for an event. Unlike a jingle, it does not necessarily have lyrics: the aim is to create a consistent sonic identity.
From idea to delivery, in four steps
- Briefing: desired style, context of use, target audience and musical references.
- Composition: proposal for melody, harmony and arrangement based on the briefing. The client listens and approves before moving to production.
- Production: recording of instruments and voice if required, mixing and mastering.
- Delivery: files in the formats suited to each platform of use.
A jingle or custom music for multiple contexts
- Radio and television: advertising spots with the jingle integrated into the production.
- Digital platforms: adverts on YouTube, Meta, TikTok and other platforms.
- Corporate videos: background music that accompanies the institutional message.
- Telephone messaging: on-hold music that represents the brand.
- Events and presentations: opening and closing music.
- Applications and websites: background music that reinforces brand identity.
Frequently Asked Questions about Jingles and Music
How many musical proposals do I receive before choosing?
We normally present two to three proposals with different musical directions so the client can compare before choosing. The proposals are presented in demo format before final production.
Can I request changes to the composition?
Yes. One round of revisions is included in the process. More substantial changes after the initial proposal has been approved are quoted separately.
Do I own the rights to the jingle or music?
Yes. After delivery and payment, the client holds the rights of use for the composition in the contexts defined in the briefing. The terms are clarified before production begins.
Can you create shorter versions of the same jingle?
Yes. For a 30-second jingle, we can create 15-second, 10-second or 3 to 5-second separator versions for digital use or telephone messaging.
Can you adapt an existing jingle into another language?
Yes. For clients who already have a jingle in another language, we adapt the lyrics into Portuguese, keeping the original melody and arrangement, with a new recording.
